DURING THE 17 YEARS I'VE BEEN IN THE INDUSTRY, I HAVE BEEN LUCKY ENOUGH TO WORK ON SOME GREAT PROJECTS WITH TRULY INCREDIBLE AND TALENTED PEOPLE. BELOW ARE SOME OF THE PARTICULAR MOMENTS THAT STICK OUT TO ME.
The biggest highlight I've had whilst working in the industry was being series editor for the "David Attenborough's Great Barrier Reef" series for BBC One in 2015. Working with a true childhood hero of mine on this project was a dream come true. This was then added to when I was nominated for a BAFTA in the Editing Specialist Factual category for the work I did on this series.
This project took place during the Great Barrier Reef offline. It took me off that series for a month, to take advantage of this incredible opportunity to get two great minds together to talk frankly about the furture of the planet. This project was nominated for an EMMY for best interview.
In 2016, whilst filming for the BBC One Series "Galapagos", an opportunity during the shoot saw me going down in a deep sea submersible to 580 meters in the Bolivar Channel. The mission was to record another submarine taking samples of living organisms for DNA sampling, which turned out to be newly discovered species. This was a truly once in a lifetime experience that I'll never forget.
